Hurricanes, haircuts, and pizza - Oh my!

Well it's beginning to look like Hurricane Irene is going to miss Florida and run on into the Carolinas instead.

And I am totally okay with that, haha.

I was not really looking forward to my first hurricane, so hopefully I'll just have to deal with a bit more rain than usual and that's it.

I somehow hit 120 again this morning after all of my bad eating this week.

Called in the laxatives and, with the laxatives from yesterday, I ended up spending most of the morning having some sweet, sweet alone time in the bathroom.

Blargh.

There has to be a more attractive way to get skinny - oh wait, there is, it's not eating crap food in the first place so you don't have to come up with some way to forcibly eject your mistakes.

If only I could master that silly self-control part, I'd be set.

At least I got back down to my new comfort zone of 117, which is good, because more clothes arrived today and it would suck to gain back the weight I've lost right as I've bought more skinny clothes.

The boyfriend, thankfully, likes all the new clothes I got and isn't as grumpy about how much they cost.

I think he's just glad that I'm not buying a ton of cheap crappy teen clothes anymore.

Girlfriend of future doctor has to look presentable and less... y'know.... sixteen...

I'm apparently an adult now, who knew.

After the tumultuous tummy morning, I spent the majority of the afternoon trying on outfit after outfit.

And then getting crazy with my tweezers and giving myself skinny little eyebrows.

And then getting crazy with the scissors and cutting my damn hair.

It wasn't totally disastrous!

I mostly just trimmed my insanely long bangs and gave some loving to my layers, but this was a largely successful venture.

Especially considering my past of cutting my own hair and having it be utterly terrifying.

After the clothes, hair, and emptied stomach, I had worked up an appetite.

First, the boyfriend and I hit the grocery store.

Bought some more Buy 1 Get 1 Free cheap wine at Publix, because we're classy like that and I need to have more drunken binge nights.

Oh hey drunkorexia, I didn't see you there. ;)

Then it was back home, watching a billion episodes of What Not to Wear - I really am turning into an old person. I found myself tearing up during every episode as I watched all of these women overcome their self-esteem issues and blossom into beautiful, confident women. Ayi yi yi. - while making dinner.

I'm overly excited about what we had for dinner, haha.

It's honestly the best recipe we've tried since we moved and I transformed into Susie Homemaker.

I now present...

Asparagus and Potato Pizza!

Slightly barely modified from this recipe.

Pizza dough brushed with garlic-infused olive oil, topped with onions and Italian blend shredded cheese. Toss some asparagus with more garlic-infused olive oil - throw asparagus on pizza. Throw slightly boiled red potato slices on pizza. Smother in chunks of neufchatal cheese and sprinkle with parmesean and more shredded cheese. Bake. Orgasm.

It's such food porn.

It was absolutely and positively the best pizza I've ever had, and I don't feel an ounce of guilt for eating... half of it.

Fuck it.

It was worth it.

It's now been added to the list of "Boyfriend Approved" recipes that he's liked. Success!

More clothes slated to arrive on Thursday, oh, and that whole hurricane thing should be coming on Thursday, too. Fingers crossed that Irene stays on its current path and doesn't attack me! I want to go to the beach, dammit!

Now, it's vino time. Delicious drunken calorie time, but red wine is good for your heart, thank you very much.

A bientôt, lovelies.

  3. I love your hair... and I want to see all of these new clothes! I am also planning to make that pizza, but since I'm vegan, I"ll substitute a garlic coconut cream sauce for the cheese... mmmmmm. This could be dangerous! xx
